Microsoft SQL Server – future technology and specialization January 23rd, 2008

On today's cooperation agreement signed in the Algebra premises, the new strategic alliance has been introduced, made up between Algebra, the leading regional IT school and Comminus, Croatia's leading company in implementation and creation of solutions based on Microsoft SQL Server technologies.

The agreement refers primarily to conducting classes and creating a specialist training in the field of Microsoft SQL technologies. Algebra's task is to give people who want to develop preofessionally in IT field, a chance to attend seminars, to provide materials and give certificates, while Comminus will provide the lecturers: Krešimir Radošević, Marko Čulo, Ivana Soldić, Aleksandar Petrinić and Tomislav Matković. Although they are all experts in their field, it does not hurt to say that Krešimir Radošević and Marko Čulo have an internationally recognized certificate – Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) held by only 187 people in the world.

Algebra is the official host for all the seminars that are the subject of this exclusive partnership, while it is on Comminus to give expert support in the process of preparation, conducting classes and preparing of teaching materials for the new seminars.

Seminars that are the subject of this contract represent the official Microsoft seminars and there are 16 brand new seminars for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (marked with Microsoft codes from 2781 to 2797); based on the new program students get the certificates: IT Professional: Database Developer, IT Professional: Database Administrator, Technology Specialist: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence. Together with the existing seminars for Technology Specialist: SQL Server 2005, Algebra has in this way completed the whole offer and confirmed its position as a unique IT school for top MS SQL training and certification.

"According to Gartner research on market share of relation data base from mid 2007, in 2006 there was total sales growth and implementation of these systems by 14.2% on global level, in relation to the year before. Apart from showing the increased market need for implementation of relation data base, this research also shows increased need for qualified people. In our case, it is very important to point out that by far the biggest growth generates Microsoft SQL Server whose share grows twice as faster (28%) than market growth in this segment and we ourselves already feel extra need for MS SQL experts.", said Krešimir Radošević, Comminus CE upon signing the cooperation agreement.

Tomislav Dominković, Algebra chairman of the board said:"According to the research on the salaries of IT professionals, MCP magazine has been doing for years, it is clear that salaries in this sector are above average and that they vary depending on the specialization for a given technology. Last year's research, carried out on the sample of 2700 people with a Microsoft certificate, showed that the highest salaries on global work market have specialists, holders of the certificate in the field of SQL Server. Even 3 out of 5 best paid specialists have the following certificates: Database Developer, Database Administrator and Technology Specialist: SQL Server Business Intelligence."

Starting from March 2008, seminars in this field will be added to Algebra's timetable, and you can already apply.
